Patrick Kane's trade to the New York Rangers at the NHL Trade Deadline signaled the end of an era for the Blackhawks, and it now seems that another surprising era may be coming to a close. Sources close to Jonathan Toews, the Blackhawks Captain, have revealed that he is seriously contemplating retirement.
According to @JDietzSports, two sources have indicated that Toews may retire at the end of the current season, as he has been struggling with an immune disorder and is currently battling long COVID. If this is indeed the end of Toews' career, he will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the greatest Blackhawks players of all time.
