Martin St. Louis, the Head Coach of the Montreal Canadiens, has emphasized the importance of accountability since taking the position. As a former player who understands what it takes to succeed in the league, St. Louis instills these same values in his players on a daily basis. This is why St. Louis is stringent when it comes to enforcing team rules.

Unfortunately, the Canadiens suffered a humiliating 9-5 loss to the Florida Panthers last night. To everyone's surprise, Jonathan Drouin skipped a mandatory team meeting this morning, which led to his exclusion from the team's practice. Drouin has had numerous conflicts with management throughout his NHL career. After refusing to report to the Tampa Bay Lightning, Drouin was traded to the Montreal Canadiens. While playing for the Canadiens, he has faced criticism from fans for leaving the team due to personal reasons.

Martin St. Louis says Jonathan Drouin missed a meeting so he was not allowed to practice today and he won't play tomorrow. He called it a «non-negotiable»

Montreal media personality Chris 'Knuckles' Nilan suggested that Drouin should stay home if he can't handle the stress. There have also been rumors of Drouin requesting a trade from the Canadiens. Unfortunately, this latest incident involving Drouin highlights his ongoing struggles with maturity and lack of success despite his potential.
