If your a Detroit Redwings fan there hasn't been much to cheer about in recent years, however Steve Yzerman is looking to rebuild the Redwings into a contender.

Though they have a way to go, some of the current Redwings stars aren't clearly enjoying things in Detroit and this includes the current captain Dylan Larkin, who's starting to lose patience, showing frustrations after another losing season.

After the Redwing's loss yesterday to the Ottawa Senators Larkin, spoke with the media and had this to say:

"I have to admit that it has been difficult to deal with losing seasons. I look around and I don't see a lot of joy, I don't see a lot of guys having fun,"

said Larkinas per Red Wings insider Ansar Khan.

"We need to change that and enjoy playing hockey again."

Larkin was asked about the team's morale to which Larkin replied:

"Yeah, the guys are frustrated,» Larkin said. "It's another losing season that just hasn't gone the way any of us want it to go since even before the trade deadline it's not fun here."

If Larkin and the Red Wings are hoping to turn things around next season, changes will have to come. That being said this month will mark the 3 year anniversary of former Red Wings superstar Steve Yzerman's appointment as general manager of the franchise.

With the Redwings still maybe being far away from being a contender and with Larkin clearly frustrated, could Larkin possibly ask Yzerman for a trade? If he does, no one could blame Larkin, everyone wants to play and try to win a Stanley cup.

Dylan Larkin is 25, he was drafted by the Redwings 15th overall in 2014. Larkin has played in 497 games with Redwings scoring 145 goals, 208 assists.
