Robin Lehner has been a champion for mental health in the NHL and deserves to be recognized for it. Last night after the Golden Knights victory Lehner took to Twitter again to share parts of his mental health story and some details about his plans for the rest of this year..
Lehner appears to be to our knowledge the first player to opt out of the Olympics but he is not expected to be the last. Lehner also shared his reasoning and discussions he had with his support system.
Lehner openly sharing his mental health journey is great for the game in ways I'm sure Lehner can't even understand.
Amazing job Robin!
