According to NHL insider Nick Kypreos, the St. Louis Blues are considering moving Jordan Kyrou and another key forward.

The St. Louis Blues have had a disappointing season as they sit in 6th place in the Central Division, ahead of only the Nashville Predators and Chicago Blackhawks.

As a result, it appears as though the team is preparing to be sellers at the trade deadline.

Blues general manager Doug Armstrong is reportedly already shopping his captain Brayden Schenn but now more names have entered the rumor mill.

According to NHL insider Nick Kypreos, the Blues are considering trading veteran forwards Jordan Kyrou and Pavel Buchnevich.

Blues beat writer Jeremy Rutherford writes that it could be beneficial to the organization to move both players.

This is what he had to say about Kyrou in his article leading up to the March 7th trade deadline.

"There's been less criticism of Kyrou, and deservedly so. He leads the team in goals (21) and points (42) and he's been more consistent, not going more than three games without a point. His full no-trade clause kicks in this summer, but for any fans who would still move him, what are you getting in return?"

Rutherford does seem to be more on board with moving Buchnevich, which would potentially be seen as a lesser blow for Blues fans.

Buchnevich hasn't quite been the same player he once was the last two seasons, putting up 11 goals and 34 points through 54 games this season, a similar scoring pace to his 63-point campaign last year.

"There was excitement when Buchnevich signed a six-year, $48 million extension last July, but that has been subdued with offensive totals that project to just 18 goals and 52 points. His career suggests he'll be fine, and with the cap increasing, teams wouldn't be turned off by his contract. But the Blues need the 200-foot player he's been in the past."

That being said, Kyrou would certainly garner a bigger return, but he could also still be with the team for their next competitive window, so the return would likely have to blow away Doug Armstrong.

That is certainly possibly, but perhaps unlikely. Either way, the Blues will almost certainly be making some big moves in the next couple of weeks.
