It's been another year a disappointment if your a Buffalo Sabres fan. What started with some high hopes ultimately ended in failure.
The Sabres traded their best player to the Vegas Golden Knights but seemed to come out of that trade the winners so far, but it wasn't enough to help this team who's still seems far from a playoff team. After all the amazing seasons and how good the Buffalo Sabres use to be in the Ryan Miller, Tomas Vanek, Mike Peca era till now.
The Sabres have now set a NHL franchise record that no team wants and that's going 11 years without making the playoffs. The Sabres were tied with the Florida Panthers 2001-2011 and Edmonton Oilers 2007-16 for most consecutive seasons but now hold that record, and with the Sabres looking like they still got away to go to be a playoff team, the Sabres playoff drought could unfortunately continue.
