With the Stanley cup playoffs around the corner, Edmonton Oilers star Leon Draisaitl is excited for the first round.
Leon Draisaitl is having a Hart Trophy worthy season scoring 50 goals and over a 100 points so far. Draisaitl has a special message for whichever team faces him in the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs:
«I wouldn't want to play us in the first round.»
While they may be loaded up front, the Edmonton Oilers have one big issue and that's it's goaltending. Both Mike Smith and Mikko Koskinen have struggled this year.
When it comes to the playoffs, goaltending can make or break you. A coach once said ''A goalie is 80% of your team, unless you have a poor one than he is 100%.''
How many teams have we seen go on a run solely because of hot goaltending? How often have we teams seen sink by poor goaltending. That's going to be the question in Edmonton and could haunt them.
