Wednesday night we saw the Edmonton Oilers take on the Calgary Flames for game 1 of the Battle of Alberta. This game was full of physicality and controversy, and at one point Milan Lucic laid a huge hit into Connor McDavid which caused a scrum and we almost got to see Evander Kane and Milan Lucic fight.
Ahead of tonights game, Kane was asked about his thoughts on being on the ice at the same time as Lucic, which he hilariously responded:
While Milan Lucic isn't the 30 goal, 60 point scorer he once was, he have reformed his game and has found a way to still be a valuable asset to his team. Lucic only played 9:46 in game 1 against the Oilers, but he made those minutes count, throwing some huge checks and building momentum for his team. Look for him to do the same tonight and probably make Evander Kane regret his comment and eat his words.
