The moment we have all been waiting for is finally here, it's playoffs. Starting tonight we get to see 16 teams battle for Lord Stanley, which is the hardest trophy to win in all sports.
We have 4 games on tonight: Lightning/Leafs, Hurricanes/Bruins, Blues/Wild & Kings/Oilers.
We will be giving our predictions on a game-by-game basis. Starting with:
Toronto Maple Leafs vs the Tampa Bay Lightning
It will be a high scoring game, which will play into Toronto's favour and Toronto wins a shocking 5-3 game.
Toronto takes a 1-0 series lead.
Carolina Hurricanes vs Boston Bruins
This will be a tight fought game, but Boston will edge out Carolina 3-1 without their starting goalie. Expect some rough stuff in this game as well.
Boston takes a 1-0 series lead
St. Louis Blues vs Minnesota Wild
The Blues have dominated the Wild all season going 3-0-0, but tonight the Wild will get revenge and win a 3-2 game.
Minnesota takes a 1-0 series lead
LA Kings vs Edmonton Oilers
When it comes to playoffs, it's no longer about offence, its about defence. The Oilers got their worse possible matchup with Kopitar and Danault both being great shutdown centers. The Oilers will fumble and lose a 4-1 game, which McDavid will shut 0 points.
Kings take a 1-0 series lead.
