The Cinderella story of the Florida Panthers continues, after coming back down 3-1 to knock off the Boston Bruins, the Panthers knocked off the Toronto Maple Leafs in just 5 games.
Before the series began you'll remember Leafs fans doing a "We Want Florida"chant.
To which after the Panthers took a 3-0 series lead would roast Leafs fans mocking them saying:
"We Want Florida"
Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk would address the chant after taking one last shot at Leafs fans saying:
It's awesome we don't hear too we want Florida now it's a great feeling to win it here.
Tkachuk would double down in a Sportsnet interview:
"I don't think they want Florida that much anymore. I wasn't hearing many of those after that game and that may be the best part."
The Panthers will now move on to face the Carolina Hurricanes, making the Panthers the obvious underdogs yet again, but I don't think the Panthers would want it any other way.
