The NHL took the odd decision to stop wearing special jerseys during warm-up events.

This decision was made because some religious groups were unhappy with the NHL's Pride jerseys, which were meant to show support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Some players, like James Reimer from the Sharks and the Staal siblings, Eric and Marc, from the Panthers, chose not to wear the Pride jerseys during warm-ups because of their religious beliefs.

In the OHL, however, it's another story.

OHL Team Rips Bettman

The Oshawa Generals are known for supporting LGBTQ+ rights. They decided to keep wearing the Pride jerseys, even after the NHL stopped. They showed their support through a tweet and criticized Bettman's decision.

"Uhm, anyway, we promise to make our 2023-2024 Pride jerseys bigger and better than ever before.

Inclusivity matters. Advocacy matters. Showing up for your community matters."

It's refreshing to see a team finally understand the issue. Their response was great and let's hope more teams move in the same direction.
