Player Jumped in Dirty Fight During Junior Hockey Game
A crazy scene broke out during a Junior Hockey game in Ontario, that saw one player jump another in a dirty play that is likely to land him a massive suspension.
Player Gets Jumped During GOJHL Game That Will Likely Lead to Suspension
Fights are still something that happen here and there in junior hockey, though it is hard to call what went down during this junior hockey game a fight, as it was more like an assault.
During a GOJHL game with the Fort Erie Meteors and Port Colborne Sailors, a Sailors player seemed to get extremely upset over something that happened in the corner, and decided to jump a Meteors player in the corner, ripping of his helmet unexpectedly.
This will be more than a few.... 😳
Player Suspended for Four Games For Infraction
For the incident, the player was handed a 4-game suspension for intent to injure. If the League is looking to get rid of fighting in general, this could be considered a low punishment given the nature of the play.
UPDATE: Doyle has received a four game suspension for Intent To Injure.
Do you think the suspension was fit for the crime?
