Until Bruce Boudreau took over behind the bench in Vancouver they were near the bottom of the division, but with Boudreau at the helm, they managed to finish the season with 92 points 40-30-12 record, and were actually in contention for a playoff stop for awhile.
NHL Trade Rumours believes the Vancouver Canucks are looking to add a young right-handed defenceman to their roster, since the only right handed defenceman they had last season were Luke Schenn and Kyle Burroughs.
It is rumoured that the Canucks have an interest in Penguins defenceman John Marino. Marino had a very strong rookie season with the Penguins after being traded from the Oilers, but seems to have taken a step back these past two season. The Penguins are looking to shed a bit of cap space this offseason and with Marino signed for 5 more seasons at $4,400,000, he might be the easiest asset to move out.
