When the Boston Bruins were eliminated from the playoffs last season, it was announced that star winger Brad Marchand would undergo surgery and would not be ready for the start of next season. Marchand injured his AC-Joint in January of this past season, but played through the injury for the remainder of the year, which didn't seem to slow him down.
For the 5th season in a row, Marchand preformed at a near 100 point pace:
The Bruins made some movies this offseason and brought back captain Patrice Bergeron and former Bruin David Krejci for one more run at a cup, but it looks like they will need to wait awhile before seeing Brad Marchand in a Bruins uniform again.
It was just announced that Marchand is expected to be out until atleast American Thanksgiving which is on November 24th this year. So Marchand is going to miss atleast the first two months of the season.
