REPORT: Capitals John Carlson needed to have his ear RE-ATTACHED after taking slapshot

On December 23rd, the Washington Capitals were hit with another injury to one of their star players, and he hasn't been seen since.
On the 23rd, the Capitals were playing the Winnipeg Jets, and former teammate Brendan Dillon took a slapshot that hit John Carlson on the side of the head. He left the ice quickly and was rushed to the hospital.
There was a lot of blood left on the ice, but until today, no one knew truly what the injury was.
Today his wife posting a picture on Instagram celebrating Carlson's birthday, and shared the information that Carlson has to have his ear re-attached to his head!
There has been some speculations that Carlson could be out for the remainder of the season, and well, im no doctor, but letting something heal that was ripped off your body could definitely take awhile.
