REPORT: Edmonton fans and media TURNING on Jack Campbell after 4 periods of hockey
Thought to be the second best goalie available in Free Agency after the Toronto Maple Leafs decided to let him walk in free agency, Jack Campbell signed a massive deal with the Edmonton Oilers at 5 years, $5,000,000 AAV.
Campbell was an all-star last season, and up until Christmas break, Campbell was one of the best goalies in the league, but from January - on, he was a horrific goalie, atleast statistics wise.
Many were wondering if this deal was going to be good for the Oilers, especially considering Campbell has never played more than 49 games in a season, and the critics who were against this signing are definitely coming out with the ''I told you so.'' Through just 4 periods of hockey, Campbell has let in 7 goals, and last night it was 4 goals on only 10 shots against the Flames.
