The past few months in Vancouver have been nothing but drama off the ice, and with the public feud between Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller continuing, a trade is all but a certainty at this point.
Originally, it was just Pettersson on the trade block, but in recent times that has changed, with several insiders now predicting that the Canucks could indeed take calls on Miller too.
Now, specific details are starting to come out about a potential trade, with Insider Nick Kypreos revealing that there's only one team that the veteran forward wants to end up with.
Thankfully for Miller, it's his former team the New York Rangers, who have been the team most aggressively pursuing him, with former NHLer Paul Bissonnette recently noting that Chris Drury and the Rangers were desperate to land Miller.
According to Kypreos, the deal would revolve around star forward Mika Zibanejad, who has clearly become disinterested as of late in New York, and while the Rangers would likely add some pieces to the deal, the framework is there to get something done.
At this point in time, it's a matter of when, not if a deal between the two teams could come to fruition, and while Vancouver would ultimately love to keep both Miller and Pettersson, the public feud is now affecting the whole organization, so a trade makes most sense for everyone to move forward.
