In the Kraken's first season in the NHL last year, they finished 3rd last in the league, but the team made some major moves in the offseason and were hoping that they would see a huge improvement this year.
Last night the Kraken played their first game on the season, but unfortunately it was a 5-4 overtime loss to the Anaheim Ducks.
Waking up this morning though, the talk about this game isn't about the loss, it's all about top prospect Shane Wright and how he was treated by the team last night.
To start the game, they had this prospect centering the 4th line between Donato-and Kuhlman, not a place where you want a prize prospect to be playing. People figured he would just be there to start the game and move his way up as the game goes along, but then it was revealed just how little he actually played.
Of all the players to make their NHL debuts last night, he played almost half of what the second lowest player total was:

Fans were not happy about this and are now questioning the Krakens development system:

they played him on the 4th line, something like wright should be playing at least in the top 9 carina (@goalcauf) October 13, 2022
They even brought into question the coach, is he not good with young players?
