There was rumours in the past that when Evander Kane was in Winnipeg, he had some dust ups with players like Dustin Byfuglien who apparently threw his clothes in the shower, but never have we publicly seen this.
According to multiple sources, former Vancouver Canucks 6th overall pick Jake Virtanen has caused some issues on his new team in the Swiss Division 2 League.
Virtanen was released from the Vancouver Canucks in 2021 after some sexual allegations against him, which he was recently cleared of. He spent last season in the KHL while he was battling these allegations, and then attempted to make an NHL comeback this season, but was cut from his PTO.
Now on this Swiss team, it looks like he is about to get cut from here too after getting into a fight with one of his teammates:
Jake Virtanen on the outs in Swiss Div 2 league. Got into a scrap with the top Dman on their team (Daniel Eigenmann) who turned to management and said «it's him or us». Virtanen's since been scratched in back-to-back games and his team won both. Shane Sander 🏒 (@SanderEDM) February 8, 2023
Virtanen never quite lived up to the hype he received in his draft year. His highest scoring season was in 2019-20 when he scored 18 goals and 18 assists. Unfortunately for him though he followed up that season with only 5 goals.
