Last night the Chicago Blackhawks hosted the Toronto Maple Leafs in what finished as a 5-3 win for the Blackhawks.
Two teams that are attempting totally opposite things this season, the Maple Leafs are trying to win their first Stanley Cup since 1967 and their first playoff series since 2004, and the Chicago Blackhawks are trying to lose games in an effort to get a higher draft pick.
But despite this, Patrick Kane put the Blackhawks on his back last night, scoring a hat-trick to help his team to victory.
Maple Leafs goaltender Ilya Samsonov had a poor performance, only stopping 23 of 27 shots, good for a .852 save percentage. Not what you want to see from a goalie who could possibly be your starting goaltender when the playoffs begin in a few short months.
However, with Murray currently injured, it appears that Samsonov was playing through a bit of a bug last night.
It was a hard day on the Sh*tter
