They cannot win hockey games and they cannot put fans in the building.
This year after being kicked out of their NHL arena, they've moved into the Arizona State University rink, and share the rink with the university team.
This has been the talk of the year so far as the rink only seats 5,000 people and to start the season it wasn't even ready before teams started playing in it.
NHL Watcher on twitter shared a statistic on attendance records across the NHL and it proves that the Arizona Coyotes are still embarrassing even in this new rink:

While you see the stat at 92% and you'd think that isn't bad, but when you really think about it, if they're an NHL team and still can't manage to fill a 5,000 seat arena it's just brutal.
It seems like Commissioner Gary Bettman is dead set on making this franchise work, but what do they do to finally bring in fans?
In May 2023 the city will vote on the new Tempe Arena, but if they can't fill this 5,000 seat rink, is it just time now to admit this is a failed franchise and it's time to move them?
