Yesterday the Colorado Avalanche hosted the Edmonton Oilers and despite the Avalanche missing some of their best players in Cale Makar and Gabriel Landeskog, they still managed to defeat the Edmonton Oilers 6-5 in Overtime after being down 5-3 early in the third period.
Connor McDavid was limited to only 1 point in the game, which adds to his league lead of 102 points in 57 games.
McDavid has been dominating the league for years now, but despite this, he doesn't have much playoff success to his name. Even last year when he and Draisaitl dominant the stats column and playing in less games than the teams that made it to the finals.
After the game, McDavid was interviewed and you can see that frustrations are setting in as his team cannot win on a consistent basis and despite having the two best players in the league, they are barely holding onto a playoff spot.
