The New York Rangers have signed last year's Norris Trophy winner to a 7 year extension with an AAV of $9,500,000
This extension comes after some very lucrative deals were handed out to Seth Jones ($9,500,000), Cale Makar ($9,000,000 AAV) and Quinn Hughes ($7,850,000), but it pays Fox according to his worth in the league.
With the signing of Adam Fox the Rangers will enter next season with 4 players (Fox, Trouba, Panarin and Zibanejad) accounting for approximately 37.5 million in total cap, which falls just behind the Maple Leafs 4 players (Matthews, Marner, Nylander and Tavares) who account for 40.5 million in total cap space.
