The Minnesota Wild were the odds on favourite to acquire Goaltender Marc Andre Fleury and since he's joined the Wild it's been a match made in heaven.
Fleury is fitting in so well the Minnesota Wild's GM Bill Guerin wants to hopefully resign him. TSN Hockey's Insider Pierre LeBrun points out the Wild have a tough dilemma if they want to resign Fleury because they have very limited salary-cap space. LeBrun also shared:
"There's been no contract extension talks yet it's possibly a wait and see how things work out in the playoffs."
Fleury is 37, he's won 3 Stanley Cups during in time in Pittsburgh, and is hoping to win one more Stanley cup before he calls it a career. Fleury believes the Minnesota Wild were his best chance for a Stanley cup or he wouldn't have turned down other opportunities.
Would the Fleury family be willing to move to Minnesota for the rest of Flower's career, if the Wild can afford him?
A lot of tough choices to come and that's both for Fleury and the Wild.
