After having the best season in franchise history, the Toronto Maple Leafs were knocked out of the playoffs in game 7 of the playoffs against the Tampa Bay Lightning after failing to close out the series in game 6, once again losing in the first round.
Since their first round knockout, the rumours have been flying regarding what is going to happen to the Maple Leafs this offseason, who is staying, who is leaving and while we know that Dubas is sticking around atleast another season, and Jason Spezza retired today, there is still quite a few questions with this lineup.
At the moment the Leafs have yet to sign Jack Campbell to a contract extension and it's rumoured the two parties are very far apart right now in negotiations. But regardless of that, the team has determined that they do not want to bring back Petr Mrazek next season after a very poor season where he had a .888 SV% and a 3.34 GAA.
Mrazek at the age of 30 has 2 years left at a $3,800,000 cap hit, so it might be difficult for the Leafs to move him this offseason after the season he just had, but Dubas will try to work his magic.
