Two Contending Teams Linked To All-Star Goaltender
The Anaheim Ducks are still in the midst of a rebuild. Despite their relatively strong start, the team has suddenly fallen back to the bottom of the pacific division after their recent 2-8 stretch. Now they may be looking to move on from one of their key players.
Two Contenders Looking to Acquire Gibson From Anaheim Ducks
Reportedly, two teams have already asked the Ducks about Gibson's availability. They are the Edmonton Oilers and the New Jersey Devils. Both teams have gotten terrible goaltending this year.
The Oilers, of course, have dominated headlines with just how bad their goalies have been this year. They have been consistently involved in trade rumors involving goaltenders all season long.
Gibson Could Provide Huge Boost To Playoff Bound Team
Gibson has been rather good for the Ducks this season despite his 5-10 record. Keep in mind that the team in front of him is very young and inexperienced. The veteran goalie has a .907 save percentage and a very respectable 2.80 goals-against-average considering the circumstances.
John Gibson has been pretty solid so far this season. Is it finally time for Anaheim to trade him? We'll see. Gibson has been consistently involved in trade rumors for many season since the Ducks have been terrible in recent years. Could this finally be the year?
