BREAKING: Captain Injured After Scary Collision
Minnesota Wild captain Jared Spurgeon took an awkward hit from Blackhawks forward Ryan Donato sending him straight down the tunnel.

Early on in this afternoon's game between the Minnesota Wild and the Chicago Blackhawks, Wild captain Jared Spurgeon took an awkward hit that left him injured.
Jared Spurgeon can put no weight on his left leg as he heads down the runway...Ryan Donato went to check him, they accidentally went knee on knee and then the back of Spurgeon's leg slammed against the wall...So not clear if it's knee, leg or ankle....
It is unknown the full extent of this injury but there is a solid chance Spurgeon misses months as a result of this hit.
