Insider Reveals Why Milan Lucic's Contract Has Not Been Terminated
Many fans expected Milan Lucic to have his contract terminated by the Boston Bruins following his arrest but an insider has revealed why this has not happened.
The Disgusting Reason Why Lucic Has A Contract Still
Since his arrest, Milan Lucic has been at the center of most NHL-related discussions. People are split on whether he should still have a contract in the NHL or if he should be terminated by the Boston Bruins.
Insider Sara Civian has now revealed why the Bruins have yet to terminate the 2011 Stanley Cup champion's contract.
Unfortunately the NHL is the only major league with no DV policy. This is why Lucic's contract wasn't immediately terminated. It doesn't mean Perry did something "worse," and it's dangerous to assume that. I'm also concerned with people seeing things on a scale
This is more than concerning from the NHL as all of the other major leagues, the NFL, NBA, MLB, and MLS, all have a policy in place that establishes further consequences for players who are indicted in situations similar to Lucic's.
Lucic Will Stay Away From The Bruins For A While
Despite his contract not being terminated yet, Lucic will be away from the Bruins for a while. Before this incident, Lucic was sidelined with an ankle injury.
Lucic will now be sidelined a bit longer as he has entered the NHL Players Assistance Program and is set to have his first court hearing on January 19th, 2024.
