Tynan's team the Sault Greyhounds have finally commented have finally issued a comment on the topic after nearly a week.
The Greyhounds issued the following statement:
«The team and league are aware of the matter. We have no further comment at this time.»
The comments are clearly designed to reveal as little as possible as their is likely an ongoing investigation being undertaken by the OHL at this time. The league issued their own statement on the matter:
"The league takes such matters related to gambling and the integrity of our games very seriously and are in the process of reviewing the allegations."
Prior to shutting down his Twitter account Tynan made this statement:
«It was made clear what they wanted, when they obtained my number and messaged me. They made it clear by any means necessary, their intention was to extort me out of money, as they claimed someone I know stiffed them.»
Tynan then deactivated his Twitter account and hasn't reactivated at this time. There will definitely been more layers added to this story as it becomes available.
