WHL Team Has A Scary Accident After Their Team Bus Slides Off The Road
One of the unfortunate downsides to junior hockey in the wintertime is long bus rides during harsh winter conditions. Unfortunately for the Seattle Thunderbirds, things took a turn for the worse during their team's ride to Kelowna.
Thunderbirds' Bus Winds Up In a Ditch
While traveling to Kelowna to play the Rockets, the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL had a very scary close call after their team bus slid off the road and into a ditch.
On the way to Kelowna today, ahead of tomorrows matchup, our team bus slid off the road and into a ditch. All on board are safe. We'd like thank the emergency services and the @Kelowna_Rockets for all of their help
According to a team post on the social media site X, all aboard the bus were safe and unharmed by the incident. This is incredibly good news, especially considering the horrible episode the hockey world saw years ago when the Humbolt Broncos team bus was caught in an accident.
