This past summer was a shocking one for the NHL for many reasons, and one of the stories that made it so surprising involved Sportsnet, one of the league's top networks in Canada. Unfortunately, it wasn't for a good reason, as they parted ways with several great talents, with the one stealing the headlines being Jeff Marek, who once hosted the 32 Thoughts podcast alongside Elliotte Friedman, which became one of the biggest in all of hockey.
Since that point, we've seen teasers from Marek about his return, but on Monday he made it official, posting to social media to announce that he will be back shortly in a video that's sparked excitement among his fanbase.
The video provided no details of when he will return or in what capacity, with the former host playing his cards close to his chest since the summer, as the video showcased the outpouring of love and support he has received since departing Sportsnet, ending it with a simple message.
The video showed many people telling Marek they miss him, as he was arguably the bright spot in the pairing with Friedman, and while some people preferred Marek and some preferred Friedman, it's hard to deny that they were the perfect pairing for the podcast. With years of experience in front of the camera and behind the camera, there are many different ways that the former Sportsnet host can go, but regardless of what happens, this video announcing his return has proved that he'll have many followers regardless of what he does.
