Which potential trade targets are expected to find a new NHL home?
Generally when heading into an NHL offseason big names are thrown into trade talks but then never end up getting moved. This offseason there seems to be more buzz surrounding several stars changing homes. The biggest of course being Mitch Marner who has been linked to trades for weeks now.
I think the Leafs are going to make a play and basically back him into a corner over the next three weeks, saying, 'Mitch, it's been great, but we're moving on. So whether it's now or eight months from now, your time's up.
Linus Ullmark and Patrik Laine are two of the other top stars on this list who likely will see a change of scenery. Linus Ullmark was reportedly almost traded at the NHL Trade Deadline. Now with the season ending those talks have begun again.

In Patrik Laine's case, he has been in the NHL's Player Assistance Program for several months. In recent weeks reports have confirmed that he would prefer to play elsewhere next season once he returns and the Blue Jackets are willing to facilitate a trade.
From this article: «Columbus would like to hammer out a Patrik Laine trade this month. That's the preference, and Waddell said today he wants to make a hockey trade.'» #CBJ
With all of these big-name players potentially on the trading block, we could be in for an incredibly fun offseason. Hopefully, some if not all of these moves are made and spread out throughout the offseason. As more reports emerge on potential blockbuster trades we will pass them along to you.
