Over the years we have seen some players get drafted twice into the NHL as they rejected signing with their original teams. One of the best examples of this is goaltender Fredrick Andersen who was drafted twice, first by Carolina and then two years later by Anaheim who he broke into the NHL with.
It looks like we could see another situation like Andersen's as the Boston Bruins could lose one of their top goaltending prospects, Reid Dyck, as he is eligible to re-enter the NHL draft in 2024 after being selected in 2022.
It is currently unknown if Dyck will re-enter the draft as he signed an amateur tryout with the Providence Bruins, Boston's AHL affiliate, but got into no action.
