The Detroit Red Wings and the Vancouver Canucks have been issued a pair of warnings from the NHL after Red Wings defenseman Jake Walman broke the code.

Walman Scores A Penalty Shot And Disrespects The Canucks After

The Detroit Red Wings have found money with defenseman Jake Walman. After being a fringe NHLer for most of his career before his time in Detroit, Walman broke out with the Red Wings at 26 and has continued to impress into the 2023-24 season.

Recently, Walman was given a penalty shot in overtime versus the Canucks and he did not disappoint by netting his 11th goal of the season. He then followed it up with his signature celebration, the 'griddy'.

Canucks And Red Wings To Recieve Warnings From The NHL

The Canucks and the Red Wings face off one more time this season and insider Elliotte Friedman revealed that the two teams will likely receive warnings from the NHL.

Elliotte mentions both teams will probably be warned before the game this week since the Rielly incident happened.

The NHL is entering a new era where the code may not be taken as seriously and retaliation for breaking the code could be punished more harshly than anything else.

Hopefully, the next game between the Canucks and the Red Wings will be eventful and have some good old-school hockey.
