The Columbus Blue Jackets have been without one of their top wingers in Patrik Laine since late January as he deals with his mental health. Today Laine called out a podcast for going after his mental health.
Laine Defends Himself After Podcast Makes Insensitive Remark On His Mental Health
Patrik Laine has sought after help from the NHL's Player assistant program to help deal with his mental health. However a podcast by the name of "BNB Round Table" came out and a person by the name of "Zach" decided to go after Laine.
Patrik Laine has spoken out on X(twitter) after a podcast came out called «BNB Round Table» where someone named «Zach» decided it was okay to make a joke about Laine's mental health.
The joke, specifically, can be found on Laine's X. But they refer to him contemplating «Remington Retirement» which is a referral to s**cide.
Mental health is no laughing joke and the fact that the podcast group not only continued on but laughed along with the stuff being said.
The former 2nd overall pick has struggled to play at a consistent rate and has faced a ton of backlash from the fans for his poor play. In just 18 games with the Blue Jackets Laine has just six goals and nine points with a minus ten rating.
