The Rangers captain never misses an opportunity to make a big hit in the NHL. Tonight, Flames forward Jacob Pelletier was his victim as the winger got caught between the Rangers defenseman and the boards right in front of his own bench.
Flames Forward Leaves Game After Hit From Rangers Captain
Pelletier has yet to establish himself as a full-time NHL players. The 22-year-old has spent most of this season in the American Hockey League. Tonight's game was just his fourth contest of the year at the top level. In his previous three games, the rookie forward had a single assist.
Flames forward Jakob Pelletier has gone to the dressing room after receiving this hit from Jacob Trouba.
Pelletier unfortunately would not return to the game. Head coach Ryan Huska could not provide an update on his status after the game.
