Despite already adding Jeff Skinner and Victor Arvidsson this summer, the Edmonton Oilers in their pursuit of a Stanley Cup are looking for more, and it may lead to a trade with the Nashville Predators. According to a report from The Mug, the Oilers are eyeing both Philip Tomasino and Dante Fabbro after the losses of Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg, as both could be cheap replacements, potentially acquired with the picks the Edmonton got in return for the offer sheets.
Later comments would officially confirm the interest from Edmonton in not just one but both of the talented young names.
Neither have extensive experience at the NHL level, but would be fantastic young replacements for the players that Edmonton just lost, and if they can afford to add both, it would give the NHL's oldest roster a much needed shot of youth as they chase their first Stanley Cup since 1990.
