Evander Kane takes a jab at reporter Mark Spector for a recent quote
This afternoon Evander Kane decided to take a jab at Sportsnet reporter Mark Spector during an interview. The jab comes after Mark Spector made disparaging comments about Evander Kane's impact on the Oilers earlier this week.
Early this week reporter Mark Spector was speaking on a podcast. The topic of Evander Kane came up. Mark Spector decided to use the segment to bring up that he feels Evander Kane is the source of a lot of drama in Edmonton.
As has been the case all of Kane's career, too much drama, boys. Too much drama around Evander Kane. Useless drama. I'll do what every player on every other team does. Yeah, maintenance day, I'm gonna try hard tomorrow. This is needless drama that you don't need starting playoffs, that you don't want in your dressing room. The guys we talk to about Evander Kane running his course - He doesn't run his course as a player, he runs his course as a bringer of drama.
This is not the first or likely the last that Evander Kane will be called out for causing drama and distractions within a team he is on. However, this season for the most part Evander Kane has been distraction-free.
In an interview, Evander Kane decided to respond to the comments from Mark Spector. He did so in response to a question asked by Mark Spector himself in a press conference.
Just the drama of it all just brings the best out of me.
Evander Kane uses a callback to the comment from Mark Spector saying that he starts drama to say that drama brings the best out of him. Evander Kane will need to be at his best if the Edmonton Oilers want to close out the Los Angeles Kings. The Oilers currently lead their series 2-1.
