The very next day after winning his first ever Stanley Cup, Matthew Tkachuk broke an extremely important rule during his celebration with his teammates.

All of that hard work that players have done throughout the season and playoffs, all of their dreams they've been chasing since they were kids, all culminates into a Stanley Cup win. Despite all this, there are still rules to follow, however Matthew Tkachuk decided to completely ignore them and breached them.

David Dwork of The Hockey News said Matthew Tkachuk took the Cup into the salted Atlantic ocean, and claims to have had no idea he was not supposed to do that under any circumstances.

"We had nobody with us to say, Matthew, don't be an idiot.'"

Matthew Tkachuk didn't know it was against the rules to take the Stanley Cup into the ocean. It also wasn't his idea, and he's making sure proper credit is given.

Tkachuk stands by his statement that he had no idea and would not have done that if he knew, and puts all the blame on his brother Brady of the Ottawa Senators, who gave him the idea to go into the ocean with the Cup. Matthew did redeem himself, as he took the Cup to the St. Louis Children's Hospital and let some sick kids enjoy moments with the precious trophy.

How about this guy?

Matthew Tkachuk wins the Stanley Cup and brings it home to St. Louis to visit with kids at Children's Hospital.

The best.

It appears that Tkachuk has gotten away with this rule break and doesn't seem that Gary Bettman will be issuing any fines. It will live as a comedic story in the minds of Panthers fans forever.
