The Predators were embarrassed in Montreal last night dropping the road game by a final score of 0-3.
It was the latest in a series of tough losses for the team. They have lost 6 in a row and have just 10 goals as a team in that span.
Today, first-year Predators forward Jonathan Marchessault commented on the situation, showing his growing frustrations with head coach Andrew Brunette.
Marchessault's words echo those of the fanbase.
While the veteran forward was a lot more specific in his complaints, it is clear that he is frustrated with the situation and other players on the team probably are too.
The fans are starting to ask questions, beginning with when will Brunette be fired and why he still has his job as it is.
Predators beat writer Chad Minton has joined the ranks of fans calling for Brunette to get the axe.
He makes a compelling argument, pointing to the team's lack of scoring despite multiple high-profile free-agent additions this offseason.
The Predators are 7-14-6 through 27 games this season, good enough for 7th place in the Central Division.
They are ahead of only the Chicago Blackhawks, and even they have more wins with an 8-17-2 record. The Blackhawks are in last place in the NHL.
As such, it seems like change should be coming soon to the Predators. Be sure to stay tuned as we could learn about Brunette's fate any day now.
