Yaroslav Askarov demands trade from the Nashville Predators
Nashville Predators goalie Yaroslav Askarov has just informed the team he will not be reporting to training camp and has demanded a trade.
NHL insider Kevin Weekes was the one who broke the information this morning that Yaroslav Askarov, who has been the subject of many rumors lately, will not be joining his team's training camp and would rather be sent to another team instead.
The Predators drafted Yaroslav Askarov in 2020 as the 11th overall pick, and ever since then, he has only managed to play in three career NHL games, picking up a single win, and posting a 2.57 GAA and a .914 save %.
Yaroslav Askarov has been very frustrated with his playing time in the NHL and once the team recently signed their number one goalie Juuse Saros to an eight-year contract, Askarov knew his time was pretty much up with the team, and has officially made his intentions known today.
As more information breaks, it will be provided.
