Noah Dobson's name has been in the trade speculation for the past few days, and now we have our latest indication that the Islanders star is on the move afterhe made a surprising move during the Four Nations break.
Over the past few days, Noah Dobson has seemingly become an intriguing name on the trade market, with many insiders believing the New York Islanders could look to get a haul in return for the star defenseman in the next month.
However, Elliotte Friedman states that any interest in Dobson has been on a case-by-case basis, rather than the Islanders actively shopping him, so that likely means he won't be aggressively shopped by the team moving forward.
«I don't think he's generally been out there. There's too many teams that hadn't heard it, so I'll say this. If Dobson was discussed, he was discussed in a specific case or two or however many it was. There was one specific team or one specific player that the Islanders were looking at, and if they had gone down the road on that trade, then Dobson might have been included. I think that's the fairest way to look at all of this."
However, the latest update on the situation may say otherwise, as Stefan Rosner is now reporting that the 25-year old has now swapped agents in a move that could signify the PEI native is looking to be moved.
This season, Dobson has dealt with injury issues and has been limited to just 46 games of action, but after a career year with 70 points in 2023/24, he's no doubt a star on the rise, and if this move tells us anything, it's that we could be seeing a blockbuster trade ahead of the March 7th deadline.
