Tonight the New York Rangers have announced that forward Artemi Panarin has been forced to leave their game against the New Jersey Devils due to injury.

The New York Rangers announced worrying news tonight that superstar forward Artemi Panarin will not return due to a lower-body injury sustained against the New Jersey Devils.

He tried to test out the injury he sustained on the bench before eventually heading to the locker room where he has remained since.

According to reports Artemi Panarin potentially suffered the injury earlier in the preseason. He missed a day of practice but then returned. However, it seems he has now either reaggravated an old injury or this could be a new injury entirely.

Artemi Panarin has been a catalyst for the New York Rangers being a Stanley Cup favorite. Last season Artemi Panarin was one of the best forwards in the NHL amassing an unreal 120 points and 49 goals. The 2023-24 season was so incredible for Artemi Panarin that he broke the franchise record for points in a single season. If he is going to miss any time for the New York Rangers he is a player that cannot be replaced.

As of now, it is unclear whether this injury is something that will keep Artemi Panarin out long-term or if his removal is a precaution. If the New York Rangers are going to be without Artemi Panarin that is a huge blow to a team that is considered a Stanley Cup favorite going into the 2024-25 NHL season.

When the team provides an official update on the status of Artemi Panarin and his diagnosis going forward we will pass the latest news along to you.
