Bobby Ryan has made some disrespectful comments against Caitlin Clark and women's sports. Because of these comments, an Ottawa Senators Podcast that he co-hosts has announced that they are firing him, and that they are officially disassociating with him.

Bobby Ryan, who used to play for the Ottawa Senators and even represented the United States in the Olympics, has caused controversy on Twitter over his recent comments against Caitlin Clark and the topic of women's sports in general, many have found these comments disrespectful and misogynistic.

The controversy began when Ryan decided to reply to a post made by Megan Chayka, who is the co-founder and co-CEO of Staphletes. Chayka's post was praising the popularity of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, claiming that it seems that everyone is watching the tournament. It appears that everyone except for Bobby Ryan is watching, who instead decided to challenge Chayka in a reply, demanding that she:

"Name 7 players. Not 1. Not 25-7.
First and last namesgo for it"

This comment alone received a lot of attention, but Bobby Ryan wasn't done, instead he began defending his comment and doubling down. He attempted to defend himself in a now-deleted tweet, telling people to relax, and that they should leave him alone, so that he can return to pretending that women's sports is a thing, clearly insinuating that nobody who was replying to him actually cares about women's sports, and that they are just pretend to care.

"Guys...holy hell. Relax!!!!
It's 843 and I want to go home and pretend like women's sports are a thing."

Perhaps he thought that deleting this post would make everything go away, but unfortunately for Bobby Ryan, things only got worse. His posts caught the attention of Brent Wallace and Jason York, who co-host the Coming In Hot podcast, which focuses on the Ottawa Senators. They have decided that due to these comments, they are parting ways with Bobby Ryan, they also announced in a post that his views do not align with the views of the show or their sponsor.

"Earlier this week, Bobby Ryan made comments on social media that do not align with our show or that of our sponsors and partner, The Nation Network. As a result, we have mutually decided to part ways."

Bobby Ryan is yet to comment on this announcement, he has still not backed down or apologized for any of his comments. It is evident that his recent remarks have damaged his reputation. It is still unclear if he has learned his lesson against posting rude comments, or if he will continue to damage his reputation.
