The Ottawa Senators have struggled to take steps within their rebuild in the last few seasons. A group led by Tim Stutzle, Brady Tkachuk, and Jake Sanderson was expected to be making a playoff push by now. Instead, they missed the playoffs again and changed coaches hiring Travis Green this summer.
Since the new hiring many sources around the league have been excited about the future of the Ottawa Senators. However, today a big cloud has been placed over that hope after Tim Stutzle has made a worrying agent change.
This afternoon an announcement was made by PuckPedia confirming that Tim Stutzle is changing agents. He will now be represented by former NHLer Claude Lemieux.
After the change was announced the reaction from fans and media seems to be that Tim Stutzle might want out of Ottawa despite having several years left on his contract.
With just a couple of weeks until the NHL season begins the Ottawa Senators will need to figure out what this change means for Tim Stutzle. If he is unhappy the Senators and new head coach Travis Green will need to figure out how to smooth things over.
As more information comes out regarding this situation we will continue to provide all the latest updates.
