Seattle Kraken steal star center from Vegas Golden Knights in free agency
The Seattle Kraken and Vegas Golden Knights have a budding rivalry as the two newest teams in the NHL and the Kraken just added some gas to their rivalry.
It has just been announced that the Seattle Kraken have signed Chandler Stephenson to a seven-year contract officially ending his time in Vegas.

Stephenson scored 51 points last year with the Golden Knights as their second-line centerman. He has won two Stanley Cups, one defeating the Golden Knights in 2018 and one with the Golden Knights in 2023. He will now join Matty Beniers, Jared McCann, and Jordan Eberle in Seattle likely as their second-line center.
This spells bad news for top prospect Shane Wright as Stephenson is going to slot in on the second line down the middle behind Matty Beniers. It is unknown what this means for Wright exactly but he could wind up becoming expendable.
