Ryan Reaves might not get a whole bunch of ice time, usually logging around eight minutes per game, but he certainly does know how to make an impression.
Wednesday night was no different at Capital One Arena, with Reaves managing to leave his mark on the rink quite literally.
The memorable moment came during the first period when the physical Maple Leafs forward had a big hit on Capitals defenseman John Carlson.
In the process, Reaves' body slid against the boards near the Washington bench, where he inadvertently snagged part of a Lexus advertisement sticker with his backside.
The sticker didn't just peel away; instead, it stayed attached to Reaves as he skated down the ice, a quite comical scene for fans and players alike.
That's what this incident looked like: the hockey equivalent of walking out of the bathroom with a piece of toilet paper trailing from your shoe.
A piece of the ad for Lexus flapped behind Reaves as he skated up the ice, offering an unintended plug for the car manufacturer.
Finally, Reaves took notice of his unwanted "sponsor" and ripped the offending advertisement off, sending the ad scrap to the ice.
The 37-year-old Reaves came back to the bench and was having a real good laugh about the whole ordeal with his teammates.
Of course, it was all in good fun. The hilarity of the intermission didn't seem to deter Reaves from his usual rugged game as he enjoyed a nice comeback win with his team as the Leafs downed the Capitals 4-3 in overtime.
Physicality aside, Reaves is known for stirring the pot in more ways than one; the levity he added to an otherwise intense game was priceless.
Though his contributions often don't appear on the scoreboard, this was a moment where no player, coach, or fan would soon forget that Reaves had taken to the ice that night.
Reaves might have played only a few minutes, but what precious little time he was on the ice was jam-packed with physicality and humor courtesy of the veteran winger.
