Auston Matthews gets nominated for his third major NHL award
Toronto Maple Leafs superstar Auston Matthews has officially been nominated for his third major NHL award this season.
It was just announced who the NHL has voted as the finalists for the Selke trophy this season.
Selke finalists: Alex Barkov (FLA), Auston Matthews (TOR), Jordan Staal (CAR) 2024 Frank J. Selke Trophy finalists, as voted by @ThePHWA: Aleksander Barkov (FLA), Auston Matthews (TOR) and Jordan Staal (CAR). This is the third major award Matthews has been nominated for as he will win the Rocket Richard trophy for scoring 69 goals and was a finalist for the Lady Byng trophy for the most gentlemanly player in the NHL alongside Jaccob Slavin and Elias Pettersson.

The finalists for the Hart trophy are not yet known but there is a solid chance Matthews will be nominated to win alongside two of Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, and Nikita Kucherov.
