William Nylander is on the verge of missing his third straight playoff game, and now further details have emerged on the injury that's keeping him out.
The Toronto Maple Leafs picked up a much needed win in game two of their first-round series against the Boston Bruins, and they've done so without a healthy William Nylander. His status is up in the air for game three in Toronto, and now a key insider has given a major insight into the injury that's keeping No. 88 off the ice.
According to Host & Director of Leafs Morning take, Nick Albgel:
As I mentioned on Leafs Morning Take a few moments ago, it is believed that William Nylander is dealing with a head injury.
The injury was reportedly a result of a collision in the teams regular season finale against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and while he continues to be labelled a possibility' by Head Coach Sheldon Keefe, it's unclear what his status is going forward.
Teammate Calle Jarnkrok has revealed that Nylander looks great on the ice, so if he improves with the current head injury, he could be taking the ice for the Maple Leafs once more in this series.
