The Panthers and Maple Leafs have built up quite the rivalry in recent years, and ahead of a potential round two showdown, Tyler Bertuzzi got the upper hand.

Over the past 2-3 years, the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers have put together one of the most personal rivalries in recent history, and their final regular season battle in 2023-24 certainly had some huge implications for playoff standings. During the game, both teams were trying to gain an upper hand ahead of what may have been a playoff preview, and in the game, Tyler Bertuzzi got the upper hand for his team.

During a scrum, Bertuzzi seemingly punked Matthew Tkachuk, forcing him to flinch in what may have been a big win for the veteran forward. Later in the game, another scrum occurred, with the Maple Leafs seemingly having the physical edge over their rivals.

In last years playoff battle, the Panthers got the upper hand physically behind the likes of Radko Gudas, dominating the Maple Leafs in five games, but with Ryan Reaves, Toronto now believe they're just as physical, with a potential playoff matchup between the two an absolutely mouthwatering possibility.
